Sky in Motion, Inner Grand Canyon

Read the blog post: Inside the Grand Canyon: Beneath the dynamic sky
On our second night in the Grand Canyon we had a perfect view downstream to Desert View and the southern sky. The group had a fantastic time reclined on the riverbank laughing and watching the sky as we waited for our long exposures to complete. One of my regrets of the trip is that I didn’t rise at 2 a.m. to photograph the Milky Way as it rotated into this scene. Nevertheless I was quite pleased with this star trail image, and even more excited to find later that I’d captured a bright meteor darting across the sky.
