Deep Forest Cascade, Russian Gulch Fall, Mendocino Coast

Half the joy of Russian Gulch Fall is the hike through a dense redwood forest to get there. I try to arrive before the sun finds its way down here because the contrast between bright sunlight and dense shade is too much for a camera to handle, but on this visit I used the sun’s appearance to accent the scene.
