Leaf on Rock, Bridalveil Creek, Yosemite

Colorful leaves were everywhere this fall morning, but I was looking for just one I could isolate among the countless cascades beneath Bridalveil Fall. This one appeared to have plastered itself against the wet granite (or who knows, perhaps it was placed there by another photographer). In the overcast and deep shade it’s impossible to freeze the water at a reasonable ISO and aperture, so I just let the water blur to white silk.
