Fire on High, Kilauea and the Milky Way, Hawaii

This image is a perfect example of the camera’s ability to reveal things the eye can’t see. Here there wasn’t enough light to see the caldera’s fiery glow reflected by swiftly moving clouds, but a long exposure brought it out in living color. (This image required virtually no processing.)
