Forest Light, Lady Bird Johnson Grove, Redwood National Park

The scale of an old growth redwood grove is overwhelming to the eye, and nearly impossible to photograph. My approach is to isolate a single element, as I did on this rainy spring morning. Wandering the grove I was overwhelmed by the primordial atmosphere created by rain’s ethereal haze. Is that a brontosaurus behind the tree?
